No matter what number you came up with, know that the affirmation is designed to acknowledge the truth of where you are, give you the space to release any shame about feeling that way, and to gently nudge you up the ladder to a more positive mindset.
Now, look up the affirmation for the level of worry you are at now in the table to the right. Repeat it several times.
Read upward through the list to a worry level of zero. Let the words wash over you, uplifting you and easing your feelings of worry by replacing them with faith and trust.
Take a Deep Breath. Check your worry level again. Did it shift? Do you feel ease and grace replacing tension and anxiety? How are your shoulders and jaw feeling? Have you unclenched? Relaxed?
Know that any tiny shift in your state of worry means that you have slowed the stress response, decreased your heart rate, and shifted your physiology. This change is huge. It opens the door for your body to heal itself.
